I saw some comments of you to others about the foam heads and stuff, and I wuz thinking...

I'm making a fursuit too and now I glued the ears on it, they're long and bounch when I move, but it isn't furred yet and I was thinking: will that be strong enough?

Thank you. ^^ My fursuit (the purple one) is a border collie, yes. -nods- My fursona is an aussie shepherd.

Hmm. Well, I didn't made my main fursuit, it was commissioned. However, I know the the maker only added a small bit of foam to the TIP of the ear, as a base, and then the rest of the ear is just fabric. You can see it somewhat here in this WIP shot she showed me. :3 Hope that helps.

hmm... I dunno what you mean with 'fabric' but...well the ears I got are long and hang down... did you mean that I'd better not foamed the whole ear but just the tip? hmm... =3

Only the base of the ear has any foam at all. The rest of the ear is entirely fur, meaning she cut out the shape of the ear and sewed it together, and then glued/sewed the base of the ear (where it meets the head) to the foam. That way, the entire inside of the ear is empty, leaving it free to move about and flop, and the foam secures the base of the ear to the head.
